Life is a journey...
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did. ~ Mark Twain
This picture was taken near the Twelve Apostles on The Great Ocean Road in southern Australia. Believe it or not, the waves were breaking at knee level until I decided to venture out for a photo op. The look on my face is certainly not a reflection of what I was thinking when I heard the freight train crash behind me!

There is no feeling quite like the serenity and calm of mind I get when braving the elements to capture the right shot. It forces me to slow down and take in all that is around me. It significantly heightens my awareness. I become very connected to the location and find myself immersed in the moment. It's a visceral reminder that life is truly a journey. It's not about the destination but the beauty we experience along the way.
Josh lives in northern Virginia with his wife, Connie, and their two sons, Dylan and Cameron. They share a passion for traveling the world, getting to know different cultures and perspectives and making new friends along the way. At a time when so many are closing themselves off from those they don't understand, Connie and Josh feel it is more important than ever to get out and explore. Being fortunate enough to share this with their sons, they hope these experiences will indelibly imprint a strong spirit of adventure and a deep appreciation for our planet and all the people on it.
